Attending the University of Richmond was an absolutelyBusiness - Management and Administration
Attending the University of Richmond was an absolutely fantastic experience. I first enrolled in 1995, which is when the school really had just turned the corner towards becoming a recognizable institution on the national level. The professors in the business school are top notch, and I had no problems getting interviews in places like D.C., Philadelphia, and NYC by the time I graduated in 1999, despite the fact that my GPA was barely a 3.0. Now, as I am applying for an MBA, the admissions committee at schools like Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Emory, and NYU all recognize U of R as a school on the same level as Wake Forest and W&M. Student life at Richmond was great, everyone was very friendly and the "work hard and play hard" attitude was applicable to most of the student body. People who didn't enjoy their experience at U of R are usually liberal types who have a bone to pick with preppy/rich kids, but believe me, as someone who grew up in a modest upbringing, the preppy/rich kids are mostly friendly and driven. Of course, the campus is the most beautiful of the ones I visited, which includes places like Princeton and Yale. Overall a great experience, and the school's name is growing more and more, which will only help.
