Being an incoming first-year, I cannot wait toBrightEngineering Department
Being an incoming first-year, I cannot wait to get to UVA. It has been my dream school for several years, and I was so excited to be accepted. I love grounds, Charlottesville is great, and the people are way too friendly. I was more and more impressed with each visit I made to UVA. Football games are definitely a blast and I'm excited to get involved in Greek Life second semester. One more thing: We love Thomas Jefferson!

Alot of talk amongst students who knew eachQuite BrightEngineering Department
Alot of talk amongst students who knew each other in highschool. While it may seem clique, if your willing to put yourself out there you will see most are very nice and open people and wont make you feel out of place. They may use highschool as a conversation starter, but most people are more than ready to move on.Takes a little bit of extra work if your an engineering student. Make sure you get into a club or orginization that helps break the nerd lable.

Question
Currently, I am a Third Year Biomedical EngineeringQuite BrightEngineering Department
Currently, I am a Third Year Biomedical Engineering student, who has nearly completed the Pre-Med course requirements, and is closing out on the BME major. I am a resident of Virginia, so I've always had the added incentive of attending this university for monetary reasons, but I can guarantee you that this was a secondary reason during the decision making proccess. Firstly, the campus in Charlottesville is completely majestic, and is set on the backdrop of the number 1 place to be living in the country right now, according to Fortune magazine and MSN Homes. There is always something to do at the University or around the surrounding area, and we are extremely close to a number of other academic institutions (William and Mary, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, etc), which try to party as hard as we do. We also sport improving programs almost across the board, and for the most part our programs seem to be developing well with better research funding, improved professors, and fresh deans.

We party hard, all the time -- not in the kind of way where students are getting wasted and falling into cars, but in the kind of way that's both relaxing and enjoyable. And of course, if you want to get super wasted, that's a possibility too.Class isn't too hard, life's relaxing, and UVa's great. We're an underanked university just climbing our way to the top, and you should be happy to enjoy the ride too!
