Question
Even though I'll be transferring out next semester,BrightUndecided
Even though I'll be transferring out next semester, I really didn't mind this school much. I guess it was because I've lived in Anchorage since I was born, so before I started at UAA, I already got to know a lot of the professors...it's a small city...it's not surprising if you've seen everyone from Anchorage at least one time in your life. I was happy with the professors...they didn't give out any unnecessary coursework and they all knew me by name. They were all extremely helpful. Although I myself didn't join any clubs and organizations, I know that UAA has its share of them...there are fliers everywhere for them and they all seem pretty active. The location is great for commuting, because the city is so small, the longest it'll take you to go from the other side of town to UAA would probably be 20 minutes. I live southwest Anchorage and UAA is in the east Anchorage area. The only reasons I want to leave are because they don't offer the major I want and it's definitely about time for me to leave this city...I've been here for WAY too long. So I'm off to community college in Houston to live with my sis...because I can't afford to pay for college...yet...

Question
I choose UAA because I was a student-athlete.BrightJournalism
I choose UAA because I was a student-athlete. My decision to come to UAA was based upon the athletic program not so much the school alone. I enjoyed my time here as an athlete they really take care of you however if I was a regular student I would probably prefer to go to a larger school where there is more extra ciricular activites, school spirit, and a football team.
