The University of Alaska - Anchorage

The university is a good system. it is kept up as far as maintenence. the staff is for the most part friendly. i have had a good time at uaa. i really think the Greek life organization is a good way to really get involved in campus.

1st Year Female -- Class 2006

Education Quality: A, Useful Schoolwork: C+

The University of Alaska Anchorage is a diamond in the rough. It is a first rate University with 80% PHD professors that are accessable and helpful. Unlike at a big prestigious University where you will most likely be taught by a graduate student and never really get to know your professor, professors at UAA really take the time to get to know their students on both a professional and personal level. Students are the primary focus, they are taken seriously and their opinion is always taken into account at UAA. I am very happy to be a student at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

3rd Year Male -- Class 2003

Education Quality: A+, Social Life: B-

UAA is a great college. Education is what you make of it, and there are numerous opportunities to get involved and take an active role in your educational career. Faculty are approachable, and the university strives to make all students feel accepted. There are great cultural events, language opportunities, and many quality extracurricular activities. I have loved all my professors so far. They seem engaged, passionate in their fields, and want us to succeed.
