Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I spent most of my four years facingAverageCommunications
I spent most of my four years facing my computer screen and trying to come up with A+ papers (still working on that one), so I missed out on most of the rules issues that people mention when they talk about PCC. I struggled more with things like being herded into church. With having friends and faculty drop out of sight, and no word about why or where they went. With the almost unhealthy competition with other Christian universities (why can't we all just get along?). With calling a multi-million-dollar business (A Beka book) a ministry even though the pricetag was much higher than many middle-class families could afford.

But I appreciated many things about my experience, too. I made some great friends (I know, everyone says that.) I came to love my teachers as they came to (I hope) love me. I heard some incredible chapel messages that really challenged me spiritually. If you're looking for a place to grow spiritually, and you're willing to stand up by yourself sometimes (not be a cookie-cutter Christian), then consider PCC. If rules bother you, if you want to party through your college years, if you're not interested in hearing about the KJV Bible every year of your college career, don't go to PCC. That'll be one less bitter student.

Beware that when you choose to attend PensacolaQuite BrightCommunications
Beware that when you choose to attend Pensacola Christian College, that it is your decision. Many do not take their time seriously there because they have been sent because of the low tuition by their mommy and daddy.

This is ridiculous thought, but it is widespread on campus. Students like this do not take the work seriously, and because they are not paying for it, they do not follow the rules.

The rules are apart of the school. Accept that, and research them before you make your final decision to go there. Check out different websites such as www.pensacolachristiancollege.com and various clubs with alumni in them on yahoo and msn. Keep an open mind about what you hear, and remember some students are bitter, and some have had real experiences that they will share if you are willing to listen.Make a lot of friends while you are there and trust fully in the Lord to keep you sane. If you do that, you will be fine.

Question
PCC is probably not the place for youBrightCommunications
PCC is probably not the place for you if you want your beliefs to be something you decide for yourself and not just what you are made believe. An emphasis on rigid rules (rather than an emphasis on truly knowing God for yourself and determining what's right for you) breeds rebellion. Students either learn to "catch the spirit," get kicked out, or learn to work the system. Sadly, I, along with many in the student body, just work the system. Hey, it's an inexpensive, quality education, beautiful campus, and you can have fun if you keep your mouth shut at the appropriate times.
