Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I transfered out after staying in this universityBrightElectrical Engineering
I transfered out after staying in this university for a year, and honestly I didn't find grass greener on the other side. Not because UB is very good, but because most colleges are merely decent nowadays. Big public colleges share similar problems.

Courseworks at UB are relatively eassy, you can have a decent grade if you go to class regularly and take it seriously. They don't give you really hard problems, but make sure you know everything covered in class.

Buffalo is a horrible city with horrible weather. Winter is tough, but crime scene could be tougher. Live in Amherst and stay on north campus as much as you can, south campus is in the middle of slums. The only good thing is their chicken wings, yummy!

Most professors are trying to help, but many of them are incompetent. However, college is what you make of it. Study really hard, make extra efforts beyond your exam problems and talk to professors for help, hopefully they will give you some food for thought. Again, this is quite true to all the big public schools nowadays.

Question
If you are lookingQuite BrightPreMed and Medical
If you are looking to get a personal feel dont come here. The classes are huge and very impersonal. If you're looking for a great party scene this is the place to be. The surrounding city doesnt have much to offer but the students know how to have a good time and the night life is commendable.

Question
I would only recommend UB Law School toOther
I would only recommend UB Law School to students who intend on staying in the Western New York area after graduation. That legal community is tight and networking is good for a job. If you're from NYC or anywhere else, don't bother attending this school even though it's rockbottom tuition compared to other law schools. UB Law School's reputation in all reality does not stretch past Syracuse without exhaustive description. As a general rule, if you intend on working in a top law firm and intend on being a competitive candidate for jobs (especially in NYC), don't even consider attending a law school that is less than the top 10, I'm serious. Even if I was the top student at UB Law, the bottom of the barrel @ Harvard Law will still get the interview and likely the job. NAME IS EVERYTHING! Take it from me and my expereince!
