SVC gave me a very solid basis forBusiness - Management and Administration
SVC gave me a very solid basis for learning and growing and had a reasonable reputation when I graduated. They were going through an identity crisis then but have seemed to regain a sense of purpose and seem to be committed to growing their academic and cultural reputation. There are many first rate colleges and universities in Western PA so competition is fierce, but in my opinion, St. Vincent is heading in the right direction without giving up on their core principles.

The campus is beautiful but small, so if you want a city social life, go to Duquesne. My experience with SVC as an alumnus has been tremendous and the overwhelming majority of SVC alums I meet are very proud of their ties to the school.

Question
St V is an excellent school with aQuite BrightAccounting
St V is an excellent school with a focused program to provide you with the fundamental and advanced skills to excel in my major--accounting. My nephew also attends school there currently and as a junior, he has an excellent understanding of business and accounting. Although it has been a while since graduation, and I lost touch with a number of classmates, I know there has been great financial success by students in my accounting class including a number of partners in big 4 firms and 2nd tier accounting partnerships. There are a number of very successful CFO/CEO from our class as well. Although not verified through study, I would venture to guess that over 40% of my accounting class make a salary ranked in the upper 10% of the population of the U.S.

Question
Saint Vincent does notAnthropology
Saint Vincent does not spoonfeed education. However, every resource you need is there for the taking. The primary strength is the availability of faculty and the close relationships that may be forged with them.
