The school is a disaster, I would recommendBrightPolitical Science
The school is a disaster, I would recommend going elsewhere. The course offers are weak, the faculty is sub par, the registrar office is completely incompetent, and the career advisers are nonexistent. The four yrs I spent at the university were absolute hell and I still dealing with the incompetence as an alumni. I am not embittered by any one event, but by those aforementioned on a routine basis.

Question
This university is simply awful.Quite BrightOther
This university is simply awful. It employs the most incompetent and disrespectful people I have ever met. There have been a total of three professors throughout my whole college career here that were good at their jobs and were helpful. Temple frequently messes up on financial issues and then makes you feel guilty for their mistakes and makes you wait until they eventually fix it after calling and waiting on hold 6 times. The food staff is just horrible. They are rude and ignorant. I could not be more dissatisfied with my last four years of an educational experience. I feel that the work I have done will be worthwhile, but the cost at which to get my degree has been unnecessarily difficult. The surrounding area is unbelievable unsafe. I have witnessed gun shots in front of my apartment not too far off of campus as well as hearing about sexual assaults and robberies at gunpoint around my home.

Question
I came here with an open mind, looking for other people inBrightChemistry
I came here with an open mind, looking for other people interested in learning and collaborating. I found a bunch of whiny kids with bad Philly additudes. My roommate got mugged 2 months after being here, and several people have been shot on or around the campus this year. There is constant police activity outside my residence building. My biggest problem with this place is the student body; no one is motivated to do anything beyond the minimum required. The atmosphere here smacks of anti-white sentiment, no matter how hard you try to get along with people. There are good things, though. The professors are teachers first and researchers second. I've definitely learned a lot since I began here, and I feel pretty well prepared to transfer. If you can work by yourself and immerse yourself in what you're studying, there are a lot of opportunities, as I'm sure there are at most colleges. I just sort of feel like a square peg in a round hole here.
