It took me a little over a yearQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
It took me a little over a year to find my place. I did not go the Greek route and yet I never felt left out. I made many friends that I am still in contact with and more importantly met my wife at UR. I was from Mass but I work in Richmond now. I fell in love with the area. I love hockey but it is too cold in New England.

Firstly, if you're coming to richmond, you're going to get an A class educations, no doubt about that. The campus is beautiful, friendly, and welcoming. However, the campus is secluded in a bubble. You are not in walking distance of any bars or shops, but close if driving. Honestly, if you're looking for a small schools with awesome academics, and some partying than richmond is for you. Most grads are very successful, and this school def has a great reputation. However, if you're a party animal, frat dog boy who wants to live in a frat house, than I would tell you richmond is not for you. Greek life here does dominate, but seeing how the university does not offer living for greeks, it kinda sucks. Good luck!

Question
If you want to be happy here, youJournalism
If you want to be happy here, you can be happy here. The faculty (for the most part) is excellent and very helpful, and the other students are great. It really comes down to how you see things; if you think everyone here is the same, they will seem like it to you. Keep an open mind and you'll have a great experience here; remember that there is more to diversity than skin color.
