Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I would suggest that if you are lookingQuite BrightUndecided
I would suggest that if you are looking into attending UR, be very honest with yourself. This isn't a school where its easy to do your own thing - this is a small school where most people are VERY similar and it's exactly like high school (well mine at least) and if you were the type who wanted to get out of HS onto bigger and better things, I would say this is not the place for you. Weekends are mainly about drinking at parties, and the city of Richmond doesn't have much going on. If you make the effort to find some nice normal people, you can have a good time, but it takes effort. As for academics, the majors and classes offered here are so limited that I'm considering transferring. The positives about UR include its great business school and beautiful campus. However, think twice about the importance of these things to you. If you enjoy closedminded rich kids (and just slightly well-off kids who try to act rich) or if you ARE one, then by all means, submit an application. The small atmosphere can really get to you after a while if you're more a more openminded person.

Question
This is the most conservative place on earth.Quite BrightPolitical Science
This is the most conservative place on earth. 98% of student body are white prep kids from private schools, coming from republican families and driving BMW's. If you are Liberal and want to make a difference in this world don't come to this university. However Campus is beautiful! and staff is friendly.

I'm torn. It's the end of my firstSuper BrilliantEnglish
I'm torn. It's the end of my first semester here, and I love it. I have a good time, and I've met amazing people, both fellow students and on the faculty, but the resources that pertain to my major are pathetic compared to what I could be getting. I am an English and Rhetoric & Communitcations double major with a concentration in marketing, and the English department here, though they love what they do and are uber-enthusiastic, but they aren't nearly as good as I feel they should be. I' submitting a few transfer apps just to make sure I'm doing the right thing in being here - I gave up a few sweet offers to come here as a University Scholar. I'm still going about things as if I were coming back in the Fall, but I just want to shop around.
