I had a 4Jul 01 2015Biology
I had a 4.2 weighted GPA, 33 ACT, 2200 SAT, 12 AP and 8 IB courses in high school, alongside decent extracurricular and volunteer experience. Baylor gives good merit scholarships and that was one of the reason I picked them. I think this campus helped me shine, I would've been a nobody at UT's huge campus.
ACT: 33 SAT: 1600 Male
Private high school, 3Oct 12 2014Political Science
Private high school, 3.8? Strong SATs. 4X Letters in Lacrosse, team captain, 2X letters in Football, Co captain senior year, 4X Letters Ice Hockey, Captain.

NHS, Prefect, Hunting Club
SAT: 2000 Male

I was very bright in Highschool, honours and lot'sDec 26 2012Communications
I was very bright in Highschool, honours and lot's of school involvement. I auditioned as a music student (vocal) and got a full ride. Your grades, your essays, and you involvement in highschool are very important. Financial aid at Baylor is NOT awesome, but if you are bright (very bright) you will get paid well, OR if you are an athlete ( expect to stay five years).
Visit the university, meet some of your potential professors, figure out who is on the board of admissions and shmooze a little. If you find people to fight for you, youwill end up with more money, and a much higher chance of getting in. Private universities can do whatever they want it would seem, especially when it comes to admissions. The bottom line for Baylor- If you try hard,3.5 GPA in HS, and are a member of 1 club.. you will get in. Good luck!

Baylor is not an easy school to get into,Jan 05 2012Political Science
Baylor is not an easy school to get into, necessarily. My HS GPA is a 2.86, 98 of 300, crap right? My ACT was ok, 23. I was in band, currently in advanced journalism, I'm in Leo Club (volunteering with Lions International, I am the secretary.) I got in, in my opinion, because I wrote about wanting to use Baylor to get closer with Jesus, and how I had dreamt about attending Baylor since I was a child. If you love the school, apply super early, I did the first chance I could. Visit!!!! Make sure you visit the spring before you plan to apply, it looks good. Don't apply something you know you won't get in to, apply an easy major, you can change it later anyways. There is always a way in. Remember Baylor loves volunteerism, and extra curriculars. Have STRONG letters of rec. maybe a from a teacher you have had repeatedly, I had one from a teacher I had for 3 years, and one from a teacher I had for 2 years.
ACT: 23 Male
I was moderately involved in my high schoolFeb 24 2011English
I was moderately involved in my high school. I participated a lot in service clubs, and I was in band. I didn't do student government or join the drama club, though.
Mostly, I stayed on top of my academics. I took hard classes (not slacking off my senior year) and scored well on the ACT and SAT.
