The past three years of my college experienceSuper BrilliantPolitical Science
The past three years of my college experience at Marist have been without a doubt some of the best in my life. Choosing to come to school here was the best decision that I could have made. The faculty and staff here know you by name and are always looking to help you with anything you need. They truly go out of their way to make sure that your time here is memorable and that you gain everything you possibly can from what Marist has to offer. The atmosphere of the campus is very welcoming and friendly and there hasn't been a moment that I have felt like an outsider. Choosing to attend a liberal arts private school has truly helped in making me a more well-rounded individual. Professors have done a great job in pushing me to reach my full potential. The professors go out of their way to help and even will give out their cell phone numbers in case you need help with something and they aren't at office hours. In all the courses I have been in not one class has been lecture style, we all join in as a class and discuss topics together and gain experience and learn from resources and opportunities outside of the classroom. Marist also helps in applying and preparing for graduate school and fellowships and also helps set up internships to help secure a career post-graduation. I feel confident that when leaving here because of the resources that have been available I will be getting into graduate school and a job will be waiting for me; it is nice to feel that security.

Everyone is so nice, teachers included, parties are fun and numerous but on rare occasions there are quiet nights. Tuesdays are big for going out and Poughkeepsie has decent clubs. Scholastically, Marist has offered a high quality level of education. I love it here, and if your approachable and friendly
