Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I have very mixed experiences with this school.BrightPsychology
I have very mixed experiences with this school. Overall, I felt I got a decent education from Kent, although I was a psychology major and wished that program focused more on clinical applications than on research. A counseling concentration in Psychology would've been amazing. The coursework for Psychology wasn't very difficult, but I had majored in Biology during half my time in Kent and I can definitely say that was a challenge. So, I definitely agree that not all majors are created equal. I felt the university offered plenty of extracurricular activities and other resources that helped me grow 'professionally' and personally; I was able to volunteer alot through the university, was apart of several student organizations, and by attending an event on campus 3 years ago, I heard about an agency which I volunteered for and am now working at. So, being involved on campus was beneficial for me, but I will say I lived in or near Kent the full 4 years I went there. I do feel like Kent State has alot to offer in terms of extracurricular activites and student organizations, but it can be overwhelming and sometimes you have to know where to look. The negative aspects of Kent State for me mainly lied in the social aspects. I'm just going to be completely honest here. KSU is clique-y as all hell and I was never happy living on campus or close to campus for this reason. A ton of people are involved in "Greek" life and its just annoying. Go to a few frat parties and you'll see what I mean. Alot of people are from the area as well and tend to prefer hanging out with their high school friends. It just sucks. Overall I'd say I had an OK experience at Kent, although it was a difficult 4 years and I'm relieved it is over.

Question
I loved Kent State and I started atBrightBiology
I loved Kent State and I started at OSU for two years and then transferred to Kent. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Not joking when I say that this was what I was looking for in a campus. The campus looks really nice, the people are friendly, and the professors and staff are solid. I had issues at OSU with having a TA teaching everything and a professor who did not care. Even when I had a 400 person class, the professor got to know everyone and was always there too help (whoo prof Joynes!). I loved my time in biology and I got a job in Atlanta now. The downside is the sports team suck and they should put their money elsewhere since the athletes are as dumb as a pile of dung and get more scholarship than me and the Greek like brother/sisters jazz is the humor to my day.

Question
Kent State University, main campuses School of Art'sQuite BrightOther
Kent State University, main campuses School of Art's and Science, is the most ridiculous and disgusting school to have ever existed. Why, you may ask? I will tell you, I created a 5, 10, and 20 year plan for my life based on my dual majors which are business management and french translation, then because the 'wonderful' staff was so intuitive they gave me false information. Not only was the Translation major with a concentration in French on reinstated 4 years ago, but they neglected to tell THEIR OWN STAFF that some of the classes rotate out every other year and that I won't be able to start my major for another year, on top of this year and then I will miss the other classes that rotate out. These advisors get paid around $45,000 a year, they are paid to guide us so the university can eat our wallets and they can't even do that right. It is a sad, sad day when the only people that need to know whats going on don't. Shove popcorn down your throat and pig out you narcissistic bastards.
